This exciting opportunity allows you to work directly with a variety of native species, ensuring they’re rehabilitation back to the wild, in a very friendly and positive work environment.
Position Details

- Hours: 35 hours per week (flexible days and times)
- Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension)

What You'll do
- Provide high-quality nursing care for injured, sick, or orphaned wildlife.
- Assist veterinarians in medical and surgical procedures, including anaesthesia and post-operative care.
- Conduct health assessments, administer medications, and perform diagnostic tests.
- Monitor and document animal behaviour, treatment progress, and release readiness.
- Maintain a clean and organised environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Educate the public about wildlife conservation and responsible practices.
- Collaborate with a team of passionate veterinary professionals and volunteers.
- Assist in training and mentoring interns or new staff to ensure a high standard of care.
What We’re Looking For
- A diploma or higher in veterinary nursing or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in a veterinary setting; wildlife experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Excellent communication skills for both public interaction and for working as part of the team
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
