The Wildlife Lunch and Learn sessions are a series of educational gatherings designed to explore a variety of wildlife and conservation topics during volunteers’ lunch hours. These sessions provide an opportunity for participants to take a break from their usual routine and learn about the diverse animals that come through the doors of Kildare Wildlife Rescue. Topics covered in past sessions have included fascinating creatures such as bats and pine martens, with expert guest speakers like Rory Finnegan sharing their insights.
These relaxed, informal sessions offer volunteers a chance to broaden their understanding of native wildlife, while also fostering connections with others who share a passion for conservation.

Our monthly workshops for volunteers offer hands-on training to build essential skills for wildlife care and rehabilitation. These interactive sessions focus on practical techniques as well as covering the theory behind it with topics ranging from handling and restraint of foxes to bird handling and administering fluids. Workshops are led by our expert team, ensuring a supportive environment to learn and practice key skills.
